I always wanted to do something creative for a living and I feel very lucky that I get to. Of course, you never plan on your "creative" job having very non-creative aspects such as bill paying, tax figuring, order entering, and a thousand other menial tasks. All in all, though, I wouldn't trade it! I've met great people and have gotten a lot of great experience doing shows (every other minute it seems!). My wonderful husband now helps with the business so I am free to pursue my beadmaking and jewelry design more seriously. Finding glass beadmaking was a serendipitous experience for me. I first took a beginning class in February, 2002 and threw myself in headfirst! I love the practical nature of beads. As I mature as a beadmaker and jewelry designer, I find myself drawn to clean, unfussy designs. I create my jewelry to showcase the glasswork and therefore my pieces have a distinct contemporary feel. And because I couldn't resist, here are some gratuitous kitty pictures:
